I am admitted to practice as an attorney with the Frankfurt am Main Bar Association (Rechtsanwaltskammer Frankfurt am Main). The competent bar association is the Rechtsanwaltskammer Frankfurt am Main, Bockenheimer Anlage 36, 60322 Frankfurt am Main.

Access Data and Server Log Files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider records technical data that your browser automatically transmits in so-called server log files. These include:

  • shortened IP address (fully anonymised after 7 days at the latest)
  • date and time of access
  • requested page and amount of data transferred
  • HTTP status code
  • referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • browser type and version as well as operating system used

I process this data to ensure secure operation of the website, analyse errors, and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless security-relevant incidents require longer storage.

Contact via Email, Phone, or Fax

If you contact me by email, phone, or fax, I process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of your message) in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is directed at concluding or initiating a client relationship. In all other cases, I base the processing on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

I delete your enquiry as soon as it has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way. Should a client matter arise from the initial contact, the retention periods of the German Federal Lawyers' Act (BRAO) and the German Fiscal Code (AO) apply.

Client Matter Data Processing

Client matter data is not processed via this website. As an attorney, I am bound by attorney-client privilege under § 43a BRAO and § 2 BORA (Professional Code of Conduct for Attorneys). Data that you entrust to me within the scope of a client matter is processed exclusively in my internal office systems, which are separate from the website, and treated as confidential.

Hosting and Data Processing

The production website is hosted statically by Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstraße 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. When the site is accessed, the server log files described above are generated. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Alfahosting.

For editorial work on the content, I operate a non-public staging environment with Vercel Inc. (or Vercel Germany GmbH), which is accessible exclusively after prior authentication via GitHub OAuth. A data processing agreement is also in place with Vercel. Where data is transferred to the parent company Vercel Inc. in the United States, the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

This website uses technically necessary cookies that store your decisions from the cookie banner. Specifically:

  • cookies_decided stores that you have made a selection in the banner
  • cookies_matomo stores whether you have consented to analytics
  • cookies_maps stores whether you have consented to loading the Google Maps map

These three cookies contain only the values true or false, have a lifespan of one year, and are not transmitted to third parties. The legal basis is § 25(2)(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications and Digital Services Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in documenting consent).

All other services (Matomo, Google Maps) are only loaded after you have actively given your consent in the respective category. You can grant or refuse consent per category.

The controller responsible for processing the consent data is the attorney Valentina Marinković named in the "Data Controller" section. Please direct questions about withdrawal or processing informally to marinkovic@ra-vm.de.

Withdrawal: You can change your decision at any time with effect for the future by clicking the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Until withdrawal, the lawfulness of the previous processing remains unaffected.

Analytics with Matomo

I use Matomo to analyse website usage. Matomo is open-source software that I operate on my own servers within the EU. Usage data is not transmitted to any third parties.

Matomo is activated only after you have given your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. After consent is given, Matomo processes the following data:

  • shortened IP address (server-side anonymisation by Matomo before storage)
  • pages visited and time spent
  • source of the visit (referrer)
  • browser, operating system, and device type
  • pseudonymous visitor ID

For this purpose, Matomo sets cookies with a lifespan of up to 13 months. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the cookie settings in the footer. Until revocation, the lawfulness of processing remains unaffected.

Google Maps on the Contact Page

On the contact page, I embed a map from Google Maps so you can easily find my office. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded after your explicit consent. Before that, you will only see a placeholder.

As soon as you give your consent, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers. In doing so, your IP address and other technical data are transmitted to Google and may be processed in the United States. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can find information on which data Google processes and for what purposes in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

You can also revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

Web Fonts and Third-Party Content

The fonts used on this website, Geist and IBM Plex Mono, are delivered directly from the office's own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or other third-party providers. Social media plugins are not used.

Content Management via Nuxt Studio

The content of this website is managed using the Nuxt Studio editor. Access is reserved exclusively for me as the operator and is secured by authentication via GitHub OAuth. No additional data processing arises from this for visitors to the website.

SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock icon in your browser's address bar and the https:// prefix. Without this encryption, data that you transmit to the website could be read by third parties.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
